AI Overview Ranked Keywords

Google AI Overviews appear at the top of search results for 44% of queries — above all traditional organic results. The AI Overview Ranked Keywords tool shows which of your existing Google-ranked keywords trigger AI Overviews, so you can prioritize optimization where it matters most.

Why this matters

If you already rank on page 1 of Google for a keyword that triggers an AI Overview, you're close to being cited in that overview. A small optimization (adding schema, improving content structure) can push you into the AI Overview — the most prominent position in search results.

How to use it

  1. Go to GEO Tools → AI Overview Ranked Keywords in the sidebar
  2. Enter your domain
  3. AI Rankia cross-references your Google-ranked keywords with Google's AI Overview data
  4. You get a list of keywords where you rank AND where an AI Overview exists

What you'll see

For each keyword:

  • Your Google rank — your current position in traditional search results
  • AI Overview present — whether Google shows an AI Overview for this keyword
  • Cited in AI Overview — whether your URL is one of the sources cited in the AI Overview
  • Competitor citations — which competitors are cited instead

How to act on the results

You rank well + AI Overview exists + you're NOT cited: This is your highest-impact opportunity. Your content is already relevant (Google ranks you) but not structured well enough for AI to cite. Actions: add Schema markup, improve heading structure, make content more comprehensive.

You rank well + AI Overview exists + you ARE cited: You're in a strong position. Monitor for changes and keep your content updated.

You rank well + no AI Overview: No immediate AI optimization needed for this keyword. Focus on keywords that do trigger AI Overviews.

Combining with other tools

Use AI Overview Ranked Keywords (3 credits) as your first research step to identify high-potential keywords. Then:

  • Run the Schema Creator (100 credits) on the pages ranking for those keywords
  • Use Query Fan-Out (2 credits) to understand what sub-queries AI generates for those terms
